Kenya Discusses ESG and Circularity at the FBA’s 2024 Fashion Law Conference

by | Feb 26, 2024 | Fashion Law, Social Justice

Fashion law professor and advisor Kenya Wiley joined the environmental, social and governance (ESG) and circularity panel at the Federal Bar Association’s annual Art and Fashion Law Conference on Friday, February 16. Kenya shared her insights on why brands and retailers must connect their sustainability, inclusion and innovation goals through ESG and supplier diversity programs. Kenya also discussed the importance of government policy in making change—in environmental marketing, supply chain due diligence and solutions to address textile waste, including in Africa and other parts of the Global South.

The fashion law conference also included panels on artificial intelligence, the impact of class actions, and legal and business implications of successful brand collaborations. A huge thank you to Olivera Medenica, Partner at Dunnington, Bartholow and Miller, for hosting and chairing another amazing fashion law conference.
